Cleveland County Water (CCW) is a Sanitary District (unit of local government) located in Cleveland County, NC. CCW is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Human Resources Manager. CCW serves public water supply to a population of 60,000 with over 22,000 active accounts and has over 50 full-time employees.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for writing, developing & administering personnel policies, and procedures; ensures adherence to applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Plans and executes multiple employee relations activities throughout the year. The employee is responsible for organization wide recruitment and retention; new employee orientation, analyzing and administration of compensation & classification plans, coordinating employee training. Tact, courtesy, confidentiality, and firmness are required in all dealings with employees, consultants, and the public. Attends seminars, conferences, workshops, classes, lectures, etc., as appropriate, and reviews professional literature and legislation, to enhance and maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the field of personnel administration. The position will report to the General Manager.
Qualifications require a bachelor’s degree in human resources, personnel administration, public administration, business, or a related field, and 5 - 10 years of experience in personnel-related programs, along with additional HR legal training; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
