Cleveland County Water (CCW) is a Sanitary District located in Cleveland County, NC. CCW is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Meter Reader. CCW serves public water supply to a population of 60,000 and has over 23,000 active accounts.
The Meter Reader position is responsible for reading water meters on an assigned route and recording readings; checking to see that meters are correctly installed and functioning properly; cleans dirt and debris from meters, and other related work as apparent or assigned.
Qualifications require education and experience equivalent to graduation with a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Some knowledge of the methods and procedures involved in the reading of meters and transmitting or recording consumption; some knowledge of the geography and street locations of Cleveland County and surrounding area; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public.
